I’m trying write but there’s nothing to write about. Nothing extraordinary has happened for the past two weeks. Each day is just like the one before, if not more routine. We are like hamster, running on the wheel everyday, from sunrise to sunset, going through the mundane routine of breathing, feeding, excreting, sleeping. That’s it. That’s life.
I won’t say it’s a bad thing for life is ever changing and some form of stability is definitely welcome. However, stability is like a parasite. It starts off not being noticed, and then it starts feeding off you and eventually turns you into a lifeless being. So I say, change is good. With change, it breaks the vicious cycle of stability and lets you feel the pulse of life. But change brings discomfort, loads of it. Its like administering medication/treatment for the parasites but that brings pain. Sometimes, the result is positive: congratulations, the parasite is removed. You’ll on your way to recovery. Other times, it bodes ill: Sorry, the only way is to amputate your limb.
So what’s your take on change? and what’s your take on stability?
On a side note, QX asked me, what I want in life. Tough one. I haven’t got the slightest clue, that’s my answer to her. Words aren’t sufficient to describe the life that you want. So she said she has 2 friends who use pictorial representation to describe the life that they wanted. Pictures indeed speak a thousand words. With that picture, you can inference the quality of living, the social status she aspires and the lifestyle she wants. It also tells the personality, whether she’s a material girl or she’s humble or she’s narcissistic. And for the protagonist herself, it’s certainly easier. With this in mind, I tried. First I put in a house. Too empty. So I change it to a flat. Too enclosed. Change again to a safari. Too expose. Try another item, put in my dad and mom. Perfect but not eternal. Without them? Lonely and lost. Next, add in a car. Overburdened. At the end of it, all I saw was an entangled mess of lines and ropes: entrapment. With a black background. Lost and frighten.
