I've dropped 2 blog links namely Marcus's and Ange's but added in 2 more from Mei's and Minxiu's. Guess people comes and goes in your life, some otheres fade away with time.
Anyway, I caught the all wow-ing Orlando Bloom show "Kingdom of Heaven" with fang last fri...or i shld say, last last fri. Well, I must agree that it was a pleasant surprise that the film portrayed Salahdin and the Muslims in a very positive light and celebrated the intelligence and wit of ol' Salahddin, of course not forgetting his compassion. I was expecting the same Hollywood stereotypes of white men being good and all others evil. However, that's about the ONLY good thing I have to say about the show. Ask fang and u'll know how i slammed the show. Oh, and my favourite part of the script is when Sybilla asked Balian " what becomes of us". I thought the answer was more than obvious. When a married woman seduces another man and have 'exchange of fluid' (quote from A Beautiful Mind), isnt' that called Adultery? D-U-H!
And for the sake of fang,crusade means "Any of the military expeditions undertaken by European Christians in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries to recover the Holy Land from the Muslims" (Taken from www.dictionary.com)
Back to the blogs, I was reading Minxius' past entries and came upon one where he lamented about being lonely. Oh well, I've resorted to suan ming and discovered that I'm fated to be a lonesome woman. So now i have a reason to tell all the aunties out there that its my destiny to be alone. I'm just glad that there's an increasing number of sad lonely single women in our society and i'm not alone ( being alone is sad enough, being alone in the alone world would have been unimaginable). I guess that's why fate brought me to (and money bought me) jovy. Oh dear, I've become a mecenary old spinster. *squirms*
