Sunday

Yet another occasional splash of rain in this barren land. And I don't think its necessarily a good sign since this place is for me to rant i.e I must be unhappy.

I'm back from my 2nd tour leading assignment, this time to Egypt (WOW!). But i think this experience only serve to strengthen my conviction that tour leading is not my cuppa of tea. I'm certain that if I've travelled to Korea and Egypt for leisure, i'd have fallen in love with the places, especially Egypt.

This trip hasn't been all that smooth sailing for me and I'm glad that its finally over. I know I've done my best though my best might not have been sufficient. Who cares?! Despite the screw ups and mess, i think i deserve a pat on the back. Call it a 2 days notice to master the chaos of egypt, to memorise the history and stories that is spun ard this mystical country. I know i know, self praise is no praise ...but still.

Egypt.... a land where the grandeur of civilisation is locked in the numerous relics that dots the country. A history that is weaved aroud the myths and legends of countless gods. The evidence of the ingenuity of mankind.
Egypt.... an undeveloped society plagued by warped and chaotic systems, a world where money is everything. A mixing pot for religions, a place cursed by scorching sun and sandstorms.

To love Egypt, you must first of all be prepared that nothing goes the way its planned. In shah allah!
