Weekends are always filled with the unexpected.
The initial plan for today was to visit the nearby town, Changping, with HJ and her niece. In the end, coz of their habitual "we'll see" , i ended up in Changping alone. Thank god, the two so-called shopping centres are on the same street so I only had to identify the right direction and keep walking.
I guess I'm pretty much a loner that's why I enjoyed my shopping very much today. I had the freedom to walk wherever I like, stare at things that interests me, eat what I feel like eating and most importantly, I do not have to worry that my companion is not bored. The carefreeness of being alone! How I enjoy that. Once I go overseas, the locals will want to be the best host thus they will tag along wherever you go. I understand their hospitality but being a wanderer, I like it alone....at times.
Anyhow, I managed to do some grocery shopping and find my way back to the village unscath. In fact,I even got a free motorbike ride back into the village by this security guy that I met this morning on my way out. I actually cannot remember his face but since he's so friendly and offered to send me back, why not. Heh heh. And the first rule when meeting the village folks is : act as if you really know and remember them though half the time i barely recognise nor recall where i met them. *Evil siah* I bet the next time I see him, i'll not recognise him still. die lah. sure paiseh one.
Be friendly and nice, and you will be assisted along the way.
