Dad called telling me that i've got mail. a registered mail. at first, i'm very excited about it, coz its addressed to 'Shan" i.e its not some conscription letter or loansharks letter nor issit any credit card stuff. its definitely from a fren. i'm hoping and praying its from myanmar, and i pray even harder it'll be from nick chan (i miss him terribly).
but on 2nd thots. its not quite safe to receive snail mails nowadays. amidst all the anthrax scares and bombing, do u think i shld be excited at all? i'm risking my life opening the mail isnt it? the bomb can go off any moment shattering us or i cld be the initiator of bio war here!!! aahhhhHH!!! This is so frightening. since when we've become new yorkers where fear rules our life? oh man! this IS shit!
