Thursday

Well, amy has blogged abt the Hep B jab that formed part of my 'adventure' yesterday. That jab was really nothing comparable to the trauma that i went thru prior to it. As most of you shld know abt my attachement in Myanmar, SIF requires a full body check up which basically is the root of all these nightmares(i;ve not awaken from it yet).

Time: 1430hrs...i was suppose to meet amy for the final hep B jab and since i was early, i decided to get my malaria pills and do the body check up. So, its the routine height weight, eyesight, colour tests. Thereafter i was told to go for the lab test. no syringes and all, just needed to squeeze some pee and a little prick on my finger.

Time : 1500hrs....*plays Beethoven's fifth symphony...da da da dum....da da da dum....* THe lab uncle came out and told me that my haemoglobin count was low and he needed to draw a tube of blood for further test. and as amy wrote," Yanshan is PETRIFIED of needles"!!! and to hear abt drawing a damn tube of blood is enuff to drain all my blood away.
alright, i did it in the end, after all the giggling, screaming and wat not.

Result: Yup, i'm anemic and doc is not going to certify me fit for travelling if the iron tablets dun show effects. dammit. i'm screwed! kaoz, its like i've been to annapurna and back, went P aur and back(err....this one i was also certified unfit due to my sinus prob but i declared it my own business so that guy let me go), went thailand for research and back so wats the big deal?!

Conclusion: I came home and checked with my parents coz doc's thinks that it might be hereditry and not coz of my iron intake. bestest! my dad said my uncles are anemic too and its hereditry. *kaboom!* dats it.

Time for my iron pills now....tata.
